LoveManiac PC Controls Fix
When the LoveManiac character will not move, check focus and input conflicts before reinstalling. Controls can vary between builds, so the in-game prompt and official notes remain the final reference.
Quick fixes to try first
- Click once inside the game window, then test the arrow keys or the keys shown in the current build.
- Pause and resume the game if it has a pause screen or menu.
- Disconnect a controller and close virtual input software temporarily.
- Close overlays, macro tools, remote desktop sessions, and keyboard remappers.
- Exit the game fully and launch it again from the extracted official folder.
When only some keys work
Test the keyboard in a text editor to separate a game input problem from an operating system problem. On a laptop, check whether a function-key layer or accessibility setting is changing the expected behavior. On a multi-monitor setup, click the game again after switching windows because the game may have lost keyboard focus.
Some keyboards also have a game mode or hardware lock that changes key behavior. Check the keyboard utility only if you already use one, and avoid installing a new tool from a troubleshooting site. A clean test with the built-in keyboard and no overlays is usually more informative than changing many settings at once.
After an update

Information for a useful bug report
Include the exact build, operating system, keyboard or controller, whether input works in other applications, and the step where movement stops. Describe one reproducible example rather than only saying “controls broken.” Avoid posting private files or personal information in a public comment.
Reinstall only after checking the source
If the game folder is incomplete, return to the official release page and download the correct platform archive. Extract it into a new folder so that old configuration files cannot hide the result. Keep the previous folder until the clean copy has launched and responded to input.
Record the result
After each test, note whether the menu, movement, and any controller input responded. A short sequence such as “menu works, movement fails after focus changes” gives the developer a useful starting point. It also prevents repeating the same troubleshooting steps without learning anything new.
